1. What is planned for the entirety of Longwood Place?

The full project proposes approximately 1.65 million square feet of new residential, commercial, retail, and community space across five buildings along with new publicly accessible open space.

2. What approvals has Longwood Place received to date?

On January 19, 2023, the BPDA Board approved the PDA Development Plan for the site. Refer to "Full Project" for additional details. 

3. How has the community been involved in the development process?

The Proponent has held over 90 meetings to date with City staff, the Impact Advisory Group (IAG), Boston Civic Design Commission, the public and stakeholders within the LMA and Fenway neighborhoods to review the PDA Development Plan. 

4. What happens next?

Each building is required to undergo Article 80B, Large Project Review. Refer to "Updates and Timelines Page" for updates on the status of the Project's review, including links to any public documents filed with the City.

5. When is the next public meeting scheduled?

The Proponent will host public meetings periodically during the Article 80B review process. Refer to "Updates and Timelines Page" and/or subscribe for notification of any upcoming public meetings. 

6. When will the Project commence construction?

The construction for the Project will begin upon the completion and occupancy of the new Simmons Living and Learning Center on the Simmons Academic Campus, which allows the existing uses on the Project Site to be relocated.
