I am writing to express my enthusiastic support for the initial phase of Skanska’s Longwood Place development at 305 Brookline Ave.

Skanska has been thoughtful in engaging with the community to create a plan to turn an underutilized site into a new mix of buildings with commercial, residential, retail, and community uses. The open space and retail will bring much-needed amenities to an area of the city that is lacking in basic amenities. Longwood Place will also provide significantly improved infrastructure for pedestrians, bicyclists, public transit users, and vehicles through a improved streetscape and public realm.

There is much to look forward to at Longwood Place, and I believe this project will be a major benefit to the City of Boston in the years ahead. I am truly excited for this project to begin and strongly encourage you to support it as well.
